Top 5 Honeymoon spots for 2017Posted on 03/13/2017
Looking for the perfect romantic destination to celebrate your wedding? There are so many wonderful places to book a honeymoon, but here are the top five that you should consider this year:
Hawaii: The islands have always been a popular honeymoon destination and this year is no different. That’s because Hawaii is still a beautifully romantic destination with so many activities for the newlyweds to enjoy. There’s picnicking on one of the many beaches such as the secluded Kapalua Beach on Maui or the Waimanalo Beach Park on Oahu.
If the couple would rather be in the water and not on the beach, Kauai is known for its water sports, while surfers can jump into the waters of Oahu or go snorkeling on Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. A romantic sunset cruise will be exactly what the honeymooners need where, where they can hold hands, take photos and share a kiss. And finally, there isn’t anything like an authentic Hawaiian luau, with music, Polynesian dancing and, of course, food such as poi and pineapple. This makes Hawaii a perfect honeymoon destination.
Loire Valley: This area in central France is known for its wine production and its chateaux which makes it a perfect backdrop for celebrating your nuptials. You’ll feel like a prince and princess visiting the Château de Chenonceau, the most visited French château after Versailles. The happy couple can also take an intimate river cruise down the Loire River, the longest river in France. You can also enjoy wine tastings at one of the Valley’s many vineyards, including Nitray Vineyards and toast your new beginning.
Italy: Italy is one of the most romantic honeymoon destinations on the planet. Imagine a gondola ride on the Villa Borghese, central Rome’s largest park, or sharing a pizza at
Da Vittorio a Trastevere. Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, a grandiose romantic castle in Bracciano, in the Province of Rome, is open to the public for tours and, of course, you can walk hand-in-hand down the cobblestone streets, enjoy a glass of wine at the vineyard or a meal at the trattoria and take phots at the castles overlooking the water. And, of course, there’s Tuscany.
Bora Bora, French Polynesia: Bora Bora is one of the most romantic places in the world, especially with its blue, sapphire and turquoise waters that you and your loved one can wade, dive and snorkel in. Share your love for each other in your remote hut overlooking the water.
Costa Rica: It’s been a whirlwind, planning your wedding and making it to the big day. Now it’s time to celebrate and Costa Rica is the place to do it. Sit on any one of the number of beaches in one of the most beautiful places in the world, such as Panama Beach, Playa Hermosa, Playa Grande, Pan de Azucar, Playa Flamingo and Playas del Coco beaches. There’s also Playa Ocotal with its black sand beach and blue-green water. If you want to get out and explore, you can walk through Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park, a 34,800-acre home to over 300 species of birds as well as cougars, monkeys, and kinkajous. At the end of an amazing day, hold hands and watch the sunset in Tamarindo.
